Setting up scanner

In this section, you will be guided through the setup of the scanner.

Instructions

  1. If your scanners look like the picture below, we need to install another firmware, otherwise, you’re good to go.

     

  2. Download and install the file below called CP210x_VCP_Win7.exe

  3. Download and install this program below called Forge_Batch_8_Series_Install_2010005.exe

  4. Download the file below called UK-Kvik-NY.AGX

  5. Go to C:\CipherLab\Forge\Batch\8 Series and open ForgeAG.exe

  6. Go to File → Open → And choose UK-Kvik-NY.AGX (The file you just downloaded)

  7. Press this icon

     

  8. Download via: "Cradle-IR"

  9. Check the com port, in Device manager under Ports (COM & LPT)

  10. Set the baud rate to 57600bps

  11. Click OK

  12. The scanner should now look like this.

 Instructions

  1. Connect scanner and cradle to the pc

  2. Download and install this driver

  3. Go to Device manager and expand Ports (COM & LPT)

  4. Right-click on Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge

  5. Go to Port settings and set Bits per second to 57600

  6. Pick up the scanner and change these 2 things
    Utilities ->  Settings -> Baud Rate -> 57600 bps
    Utilities ->  Load application -> Dock Scanner
