Kvik infoscreen - player replacement guide

Read how you replace your old computer with the new that you have received.

Step 1     
Know the MIB
Here is your MIB - the new video player for your infoscreen.

 

 

ID numberThe ID number is located on the top of the MIB on the white sticker.

Power indicatorThe blue light on the front indicates that the power is on. 

IMPORTANT 

Make sure that the MIB is never turned off. It needs power 24/7 in order to function correctly and receive all updates.

Check that the MIB stays on when turning off the light and other electronical devices on the main power switch.

 

Step 2      
Locate old devide
Locate your old media player(brand: Lenovo ThinkCentre), which is located within the wall behind theinfoscreen.

Step 3      Remove old device

Once you have located your old mediaplayer (brand: LenovoThinkCentre) remove the old device. The HDMI video cable and the internet LAN cable are to be reused.

 

 

 

Step 4      
Check the cables

The selection of cables can vary depending on your setup. You may not require a new internet LAN cable and HDMI video cable.

 

Step 5      
Connect the MIB

Now let´s look at the backside of the MIB. Connect all the cables that are needed for your hardware setup.

 

 

Power buttonPress the power button at the front of the MIB to turn on/off.

 

Step 6      
Internet connection

You are nearly there. 

Note that if your old setup used a WiFi connection, your new MIB will automatically connect to your Kvik WiFi. 

If your setup uses an internet cable just make sure there is a green and yellow light below the internet cable.

 

Update ready?In some cases, the network is not allowing the MIB to update. Contact BEAT support to get a confirmation.
