Share files in OneDrive/Sharepoint

This is a quick guide that will show you how to share files from OneDrive/Sharepoint.

Remember - Don’t share files in your personal OneDrive folder that people work in, these kind of work areas should always be in a folder that is placed in a shared location for your Store/Department.

Otherwise you could loose data if a person stops working at Kvik and the account with all the folders and files gets deleted.

 

  1. Right click on the folder or file you want to share.

  2. Choose the share symbol.

     

  3. If you click on “People in Kvik with the link can view >” then this window appear:

     

  4. Kvik recommends: that you use the “Specific people” option, so you always know who have access.
    Otherwise everyone with the link can access this, and that would not be a secure way to give access.

  5. Choose if the person should be able to edit the file, or just have access to view it.

  6. Now just click Apply, and you get back to this window:

     

  7. You can now type the persons name or e-mail, even add a message so the person know what it is about. Remember that this gives you a responsibility to make sure only the right people that need this access gets it, and also what kind of access, do they need to change the file/folder, or just have access to view it.

  8. When you have decided these steps, just hit “Send” and the filesharing is on the way to the person you specified.
